Lou Dennis Community Park Shelter Houses

The Town of Newburgh has two shelter houses.

Completed in 2021, the Kiwanis Club of Historic Newburgh Picnic Shelter was spearheaded by Newburgh Park Pals and Kiwanis Club

of Historic Newburgh.  The goal was to add more shade, seating and rental space to the park.  Together, along with thirty-two private donors, the picnic shelter was built and opened in 2021.  Located right next to the new splash pad and playground, the shelter is ideal

for birthday parties, family reunions, and get togethers.

Completed in December of 2023, the new Picnic Shelter is directly across and an exact copy of the Kiwanis Club of Historic Newburgh Picnic Shelter.  The original Master Plan for the park included two shelters and in 2023 the Town of Newburgh was awarded a grant from Warrick County to help with the funding to build the second picnic shelter.   Located right next to the new splash pad and playground, the shelter is ideal

for birthday parties, family reunions, and get togethers.

Electricity was added to both shelters in 2024.

Shelter houses include six picnic tables and two ADA accessible picnic tables.
